a birthday card, mother's day and just because

Just a quick post to start the day:

A birthday card for Tessa's friend, using Birthday Bash, my Cuttlebug and an Action Wobbler:

Mother's Day, using Wild Card:
And the matching envelope:
Two "just because" cards, one that I used for a birthday card for a close friend:

For a sweet baby:

I love my Cuttlebug; the Baby die set was perfect for this card and my Martha edge punch really added a nice touch (I couldn't resist blinging it up a little - every little girl needs some sparkle!).

my craft space reorganization and new card

It's been a busy few weeks, and I finally had a chance to reorganize and purge my crafting space.  My sweet husband set up my space about six months ago and it was perfect...until I outgrew it.  Kind of a lot.  Here is a very messy before:

Obviously my craft space runneth over.  :)  So starting at the far end, at the little nook that held a bunch of stuff that quite honestly we never use, I slowly but surely sorted, cleaned, purged and organized.  It took me about three or four hours, not including time off for a little girl's bath and bedtime, and I am beyond pleased with the results:

Can you believe that all of my paper is either in the sorter to the left (first picture) or in the big three drawer stacker above?  My stacks are right next to the skinny three-drawer stack to the right of my chair - keeps them upright and out the way.  Honestly, my overflowing paper stash was the catalyst for this reorg; I've been getting so many neato steals from Scrapbook Steals I had nowhere to put it all!

I turned our basically-a-junk-space nook and turned it into my Cricut/CB station.  I think I'm the most pleased with this area, it's just so neat:

The whole area just makes me smile when I see it, and I'm really excited to start working on projects again.  I've actually gotten quite a lot accomplished lately, which I'll post later, although I did get one sweet card made today for our darling girl's third birthday tomorrow.  I used a card kit from Doodlebug Design that I found at Hobby Lobby - I absolutely love Doodlebug Design and am completely addicted to their lines.  I love this card:

I used a Journaling Genie to help with the rub-on lettering (it's a little off, but not too bad for a first time), and I ran my ribbon through my Xyron to adhere it - a little trick I learned from one of the North Texas Scrapper Girls, thanks, you awesome ladies!  The ladybugs are an always fabulous Martha Stewart edge punch.

Hm.  Now I think I want to tackle the garage!  ;)
