happy birthday, sweet princess

My daughter's close friend at school had her birthday party this weekend, and all the kids came as princesses or super heroes; well, at least most of them did.  The little girls wouldn't take off their dresses even when they were sweating to death in the bounce house; the little boys couldn't WAIT to strip off, with the exception of a little SpiderMan who didn't want to give up his muscles.  :)  It was a great party, and here's the card and necklace I made for the sweet birthday princess:
Card:
Bazzil cardstock, embossed with Cuttlebug Princesses Duo folder
Princess - from Once Upon a Princess
Digis - Tragic Pixels
We R Memory Keepers Sew Easy fancy floss in Sunrise, Meadow and Smoothie
(Okay.  I'm really bad at writing down what I use in my cards/layouts; I will try to get better.  Honestly, it's just pure laziness on my part)

There are four digis in this picture - one on the necklace, and three on the card - I used them to make the balloons because they were perfect!  A little closer look:
I glued them to cardstock and then punched them out using my Martha Stewart balloon punch.  They're one inch circles to start, and it worked perfectly.  I even used them inside:
These have an epoxy resin sticker (from BuyJust5Supply) over them and I popped them with Pop Dots.  The base of the card is from the Ever After line by Pebbles; such a cute line, and I loved the embossed crowns all over this paper, it was perfect.

Close-up picture of her necklace - I need to make one for Tessie:
A lot of the bottle cap necklaces I see have the image on the opposite side, so that the flared edge rests on your skin.  That just screams ouchie to me, so I flip them over, scrape out the plastic liner and set my image.  :)  It looked great with the purple ball-chain too!  I added the bow and put a drop of glue on it after I tied it to keep it from unraveling.

One more necklace that I made this weekend, just loved the colors and the sweet bird:
Digi collage sheet from Etsy seller piddix, "zen birds"
Another view:
This one is for a very special person (she may see this so I can't tell who it is), I can't wait to give it to her!  :)

Thank you for stopping by!
