a layout from my daughter's scrapbook-in-progress

I recently completed a two-page layout for my daughter's scrapbook and I think it's one of my absolute favorites.  It's a bit more complicated than I usually create, but it actually came together really very well and I'm just so pleased.  This is my sweet girl and her best friend at a park playdate in 2009, when they were both just over a year old:

This layout was created with the Retro Glam collection by We R Memory Keepers, bought from Scrapbook Steals.  I love this collection, and these pictures were perfect for it.

I'm a pretty plain and simple scrapper, so the design of this collection really worked well in helping me bring it up a level without making me uncomfortable with "product vomit" on the page.  :)

I love this page - I used ribbon from my stash that I found at Hobby Lobby and Michael's, and the leather flowers are also from Hobby Lobby; it was a set that I happened to find in the clearance section one day.  I strung the letters on craft thread and separated each word with an amethyst Swarovski crystal bead; I wish you could see them better!

  1. awww- this layout makes me smile :) I love it! the design is fabulous, and youre right- the papers are perfect for the pics!! My farv part though is their little baby faces!

  2. Ha! First of all, I totally LOVE this layout! It rocks!I always say that it looks like a scrapbook store threw up on it...but I like product vomit better! Thanks for making me smile today!

  3. Very sweet layout! You made me laugh, I never heard of "product vomit", LOL

Thank you for taking the time to look at my blog and comment. Any and all comments are appreciated and responded to (unless Blogger hates me, which has been happening a lot lately). :)
