a quick saturday post - my pretty flower

I just wanted to share the project I completed last night, using a Starbuck's Frappucino bottle and Stampin' Up! inks, dies, stamps and embossing folders.  Really very simple, and very cute and pretty, I think:
The center was cut with a Top Note Bigz die and inked with Certainly Celery, then cut in half and glued on.  I used Elegant Eggplant to stamp my flowers and just cut those out, finishing the bottle by tying Certainly Celery taffeta ribbon around it all.  I didn't have enough buttons or glass gems to fill the jar, but I do have enough glitter to cover Dallas AND Fort Worth, so I just dumped six jars of glitter into my bottle and mixed it up.  I like it!
Close up of my flower - the layers were cut out of old books using Sizzix dies (I'm sorry, I don't know which ones), inked with Daffodil Delight, and layered together with Zots Glue Dots.  The stem is a rolled seven inch strip of cardstock (about 1/2 inch wide); it was attached to the flower through the first three layers.  I love how it turned out!

  1. I love your flower, it turned out beautifully.

  2. GORGEOUS!!!!! maybe I need that die.... sheesh!

Thank you for taking the time to look at my blog and comment. Any and all comments are appreciated and responded to (unless Blogger hates me, which has been happening a lot lately). :)
