weekend finds and my first copics!

One of the blogs I follow, Scrapbook Obsession, had a post about a grab bag of scrappy stuff from Making Memories - $50 worth of stuff for $20, which sounds like a great idea, doesn't it?  I decided to stop by my M's this morning (Tessie is at Gramma and Poppa's this weekend) to check out their sale and to see if I could find one.  Success!  Not only did I find one, but they're on clearance for $9.99.  I know, I need more scrappy stuff like I need a hole in my head, but I couldn't pass one of these up.  I picked up some other stuff too, and headed back home to play!

Here's the bag unopened:
I was very excited because I saw **glitter** and some sparkly bling, so I could hardly wait to get it open.  This is what I found:
There are really only a couple of things that I don't think I'll ever use, so I think I'm going to send one set off to a friend of mine and just tuck the other two away just in case.  But YAY - there WAS sparkly bling!  :D  These are my favorites:
I used my new Stampin' Up! Eastern Blooms set to make this card with these pretty flowers:

The "hello friend" is an M's dollar bin find (see below), inked with my Stampin' Write markers (I need to use a brighter purple next time) and blinged with Recollections crystals.  The inside is light purple cardstock layered with vellum, and wrapped with Bo Bunny ribbon; more Recollections bling too!  :)

So pretty, and I can't wait to use them; I might just make this ^^ one into a bookmark.  There was also a really neat pad of translucent overlays that will be a lot of fun to play with as well.

My other M's scrappy finds are these neat large flower stickers, and some stamps from the dollar bin.  The simple sentiments will be perfect for cards:
My favorite find of the weekend is my new corner shelf unit from Hobby Lobby; I found it on clearance for $10.97!  :D  Slowly but surely I'm building my Jetmax collection, and this is a welcome addition as it gives me a little bit more room on my desk:
I almost want to go back and get the other one I saw, but it would have to live in its box for a long time as I don't really have the room for it right now.  It does make the perfect home for my new Copics though!  :D  I'm going to take a Copics class next month at Scrappin' Bunnies, so I splurged a little bit on the three pinks and the pastel set from Hobby Lobby.  Yay for 40% off coupons, that's for sure!  :)  Meet my new friends:
I haven't played with them yet, as I'm a little intimidated by them, but I've got several YouTube tutorials to watch and that will help.  :)  Still no Fourth of July papers, hopefully they will arrive this week and I can finally put my Doodlebug bouquet together.  Thank you for stopping by, and have a blessed day!
