creating a bridal shower...

I'm co-hostessing my sister-in-law's bridal shower on August 20, and while I don't want to give away my theme just yet, I DO want to share the invitations I created.  I promise I will link EVERYTHING when I post the shower pics afterward - I've downloaded some pretty printables that are really going to make the shower pop.  I'm so excited!  :D

Front of the invitation:
Card: Doodlebug Design Inc. Create-A-Card in Limeade Slim Filigree
Grosgrain ribbon and Recollections crystal from Michael's
Flower printable, cut out with my new CutterBee scissors.  Love these flowers, but oof.  I've got a pinched nerve from cutting them - see the papers off to the right of the card?  Those are the rest that need to be cut.  Blah.
Close-up of the flower, it's so pretty:
There are three different flowers, one with green, one with blue and one pink.  The green is my absolute favorite though.  :)
I just used plain paper inside for the text; the font used is Halo Handletter, and I inked the edges with Studio G pink chalk ink from Michael's:
Registry information was included, covering up the blue ribbon:
They go out in the mail tomorrow!  :D  Now on to my other projects, which include making four flower bouquets (using Doodlebug's Plain & Simple chipboard flower bouquet), banners, drink flags and placecards.  I'm actually learning how to use Photoshop Elements, and I absolutely love it - I'll never stop papercrafting because I just love the STUFF, but being able to go digital if I want to is always a good option.  :)  Happy crafting, and thank you for stopping by!

Thank you for taking the time to look at my blog and comment. Any and all comments are appreciated and responded to (unless Blogger hates me, which has been happening a lot lately). :)
