welcome to my very first blog hop!

If you're here from Two Crazy Crafters, welcome to the wee sheepie!  I'm not the world's best crafter, nor am I an excellent blogger; I simply try to have fun and like to share my successes AND failures - because more often than not my failures are pretty hilarious (ahem, please see my Easter, um, "wreath".  Sigh).  :)

To celebrate the upcoming 4th of July, Two Crazy Crafters decided to host a Patriotic Artist Trading Card blog hop, and as a "first-timer" I thought it would be fun to participate.  It's also my first try at making ATCs, and I loved it!  I used K & Company's Americana Tag Pad to start my cards, found at Michael's.  I love this pad, it was easier than starting with a blank white piece - I have a little stack that I bought at Hobby Lobby that's been staring at me for a month and I'm still wondering what to put on them.  ;)  Here's my first one:
Stars: Recollections Glitter Shapes
Letters: Making Memories Mini Shimmer Alphas
Ink: Martha Stewart

I was so pleased with this one that I had to try another one, which I like even better:
Inks: Martha Stewart (red); American Crafts (blue)
Star: Recollections Glitter Shapes
Stickers: Cosmo Cricket Made in America (cardstock stickers)
Foam pop squares to pop up the "pride" sticker
Stamp: Michael's dollar section

Thank you for stopping by, and Happy 4th of July, my fellow Americans!  I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful holiday!

Thank you for taking the time to look at my blog and comment. Any and all comments are appreciated and responded to (unless Blogger hates me, which has been happening a lot lately). :)
